The Best Vegan Food in Camden
I'll never forget the first time I visited Camden while being an 18-year-old tourist and thinking it was the coolest place ever. I don't visit it very often anymore now that I live in London, but after hearing lots of amazing things about t

Camden has long been a magnet for anyone looking for interesting things to eat, and its vegan offering has grown considerably over the years. The recommendations below are mostly clustered around Camden Lock Place — the first stretch you reach when you enter Camden Lock, beside the blue bridge over the road — along with Camden Lock Market and the North Yard. The market can be tricky to navigate, so it’s worth photographing the stall map you’ll find on the side of the first stalls you pass. ## Temple of Seitan 43 Parkway, NW1 7PN If you’re after junk food, or you’ve always wanted to try vegan fried chicken, this is the place. The mac and cheese is worth ordering too. ## Mildreds 9 Jamestown Road, NW1 7BW A long-standing vegetarian and vegan favourite in London, now with a Camden branch. Whether you fancy a burger or something a little more ambitious, it’s a good spot to sit down and take a proper break. ## LD’s Kitchen The Black Heart, 3 Greenland Place, NW1 0AP A newer arrival for vegan brunches and roasts in Camden. ## Chin Chin Labs Camden Lock Place, on the left side of the road Chin Chin usually offers one vegan ice cream, and the flavours change regularly. They also serve a vegan hot chocolate, which is thick and full of flavour — a good option on a cold day. There’s a veggie marshmallow fluff on the menu too; a vegan version would be welcome. ## Purezza 43 Parkway, Camden Town Takeaway from Purezza holds up well. The cheesy dough balls are excellent, and the range of pizza flavours is genuinely interesting — the Couch Potato is a particular highlight. ## Magic Falafel 31 Chalk Farm Road, just around the corner from Cyberdog A reliable choice that does exactly what it says on the sign, which is large and clearly marked vegan, so you can’t miss it. ## OSU Coconuts Camden Lock Place, in a booth in the middle section on the street OSU serves vegan, gluten-free coconut-based pancakes. The caramelised apple version works well with an extra portion of peanut butter, and the portions are just the right size for dessert after something savoury. There are savoury pancakes on the menu as well. ## Neat Camden Camden Lock Market, 44b–46 Chalk Farm Road, NW1 8AF A fully plant-based fast food spot, ideal for a quick burger and chips.
