Sanne Vliegenthart has built a career online. She began her YouTube channel, booksandquills, while still studying in the Netherlands, later worked as a social media manager for the publisher Penguin, and now works as a freelance digital content creator. Along the way she moved to London. She appears as a guest on the Celebrating Connections podcast, a short series hosted by Nick Heath, Britain’s Deputy Ambassador to the Netherlands. The series celebrates the things happening on either side of the North Sea and features people writing a new chapter in Anglo-Dutch relations: Dutch people living and working in the UK, and British people making a name for themselves in the Netherlands. It explores what it takes to leave the country you grew up in and thrive in the country you come to call home.
