Cornercopia sits at 65 Brixton Village Market, Brixton SW9 8PS. It’s a good spot for brunch, especially if you’re saying goodbye to a friend who’s heading off travelling and want to do it properly. The menu changes regularly and makes use of local ingredients. On one visit, the homemade granola with cherries was a solid choice, while the Mexican-inspired dish and a creamy smoked aubergine number on sourdough toast both went down well across the table. Cornercopia also opens for dinner on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. It’s worth bearing in mind that seating is limited to a few tables and benches, so it’s best suited to smaller groups of no more than four. If you haven’t explored Brixton Village before, allow some extra time to wander. There are plenty of small shops selling cushions, postcards and other bits and pieces worth a look.
